Tucked in an ancient street beneath the castle, the warm welcome by the staff set the tone for a memorable experience.Upon entering my room with a Juliet balcony overlooking the charming street, I felt instantly at home. The cozy lounge area beckoned me to unwind with a good book, immersing myself in the ambiance of the historic surroundings.For breakfast, served between 08:30 and 10:30, I indulged in a gluten-free option upon prior request. The culinary innovation at Asador Sidreria Erri Berri, the on-site bar, was a culinary journey through traditional flavors with a modern twist.While nearby restaurants like Txipi and Casa Del Preboste offered tempting alternatives, the intimate setting and impeccable service at the hotel's dining establishment left a lasting impression. Though the breakfast portions were modest, the attention to detail and flavors were a testament to the chef's skill.Hostal Rural Villa Vieja not only captured the essence of Spanish architecture but also tantalized my taste buds with its gourmet offerings. A hidden gem for design enthusiasts and food connoisseurs alike.
